Just to get you into the spirit of things, and to jog your memory a little, heres a look at last years contestants…

BB9 Contestants
Winner - Rachel
Runner Up - Michael
Third Place - Sara
Fourth Place - Rex
Fifth Place - Darnell
It was an excellent series, although all of us here at Big Brother Odds weren’t too keen on Rachel winning, we would have preferred Sara or Darnell to win. Oh well!

Big Brother 2009, which will be the British reality TV show’s 10th season, is due to air this summer on E4 and Channel4. Endemol signed a deal for £180m confirming the show will run until its 11th season (in 2010).
Auditions for the show started on the 3rd of January 2009 in Edinburgh and concluded in Manchester on the 7th of February.
Contestants also had the chance to audition for the hit TV Series via YouTube this year, with these auditions finishing on the 3rd of February 2009.
BBLB (or Big Brother’s Little Brother for all of those not in the know) will return with George Lamb still presenting.
BBBM (or Big Brother’s Big Mouth!) will return with Davina McCall hosting the show in a half an hour slot on Friday evenings on Channel4.
Here at Big Brother Odds we are getting far too excited about Big Brother 10. The nights are starting to get lighter and the sun is starting to shine, so that can only mean one thing…
BIG BROTHER IS COMING!

OK, so Big Brother 2009 hasnt even kicked off yet, so it’d be pretty hard for us to predict the winner. Instead we are going to attempt to predict the gender of the winner based on previous year’s results!
Big Brother 1 (2000) - Craig Phillips
Big Brother 2 (2001) - Brian Dowling
Big Brother 3 (2002) - Kate Lawler
Big Brother 4 (2003) - Cameron Stout
Big Brother 5 (2004) - Nadia Almada
Big Brother 6 (2005) - Anthony Hutton
Big Brother 7 (2006) - Pete Bennett
Big Brother 8 (2007) - Brian Belo
Big Brother 9 (2008) - Rachel Rice (if someone would care to tell us how she won it, we’d be very grateful!)
So as you can see, in the first 9 series there have been 6 male winners and just 3 female winners.
Now if I were a mathematician, I’d prolly go for the males, but I think I’m gonna give a very early prediction that this years winner of Big Brother will be a lady! No doubt I’ll be wrong, but its worth a guess!
Keep checking back at Big Brother Odds once the show has started for live odds!
